The dancer/choreographer collaborators Caitlyn Carradine (USA/Austria) and Ziga Jereb (Slovenia/Austria) have found themselves being told repeatedly within their community that dance is dead. If that is indeed the case, they thought it might be a good idea to give dance a funeral, may it rest peace.... dear friend. Please join them as they celebrate the memory of dance through it's Wake, Funeral, Burial, and hopefully in the end to catch a glimpse of it's Rebirth. Expect maudlin and melancholy behavior. Tissues will be provided to all mourners Hysterical outbursts are welcomed. A schnapps bar featuring homemade Slovenian schnapps from Jereb's grandfather will be provided to ease the sorrow.

Acclaimed lighting and video artist Victoria Coeln (Austria) will work live with the dancers to frame the shadows and depths of the funeral. Composer Henry Wolfe Carradine (USA/Austria) has created the musical score to accompany the service.

Produced by Los Angeles Contemporary Ensemble, with gracious help and support from the Slovenian Tourism Board, and the Austrian Embassy in Washington, DC.
